Tri-Polish Challenge - March Part 2 - Green, Purple, Coral

This Tri-Polish challenge is being hosted by the lovely Debbie The Crumpet and the rules & polishes are in my previous post here.

March - Green, Purple Coral

It's quite weird how sometimes you know exactly you are going to do, what I like about this challenge is that there is no set theme apart from the colours.  So I've gone for a gradient tape mani, the coral as the base as it's the brightest colour, with the green & purple gradient on top.  To the pics......

Viva La Nails!

Today I received the most gorgeous nail polish and rhinestone nail stickers from Viva La Nails for review.

The nail polish went on a dream, I had hardly any cleaning up to do at all as the brush and consistency of the polish made it very quick & easy to apply, one of those nail polishes you love to apply!  You can get away with one coat but I always like to apply two coats which gives super coverage.  The lid is slim which makes it easy to hold, and you get a whooping 15ml of nail polish, excellent value for £3.95.  Embellished with Viva La Nails Rhinestone Nail Stickers which are the icing on the cake!  So easy to use, unpeel, stick on and you're away!  You can easily take them off and replace if you're not happy with where you've placed them.

To the pics......

The nail polish is Grape Expectations, 15ml £3.95, dries slightly matt which you can keep as is or top with a glossy top coat.

The Rhinestone Nail Stickers are 20 nail stickers of white flowers with different rhinestone colour combos, pink, purple, yellow & green, so one pack would suit lots of different coloured manis. £1.95.

You can create a wish list on their website, mine was as long as my arm.....it's now as long as both arms!!

Shipping starts at £2.95 and they ship worldwide, FREE shipping applies over £25 UK & Europe and over £50 USA, Canada & Australia.  Viva La Nails offers next day delivery in the UK, I ordered these yesterday and got them today!

Viva La Nails has loads of quality nail goodies and also offer an affiliate programme, go check them out I can HIGHLY recommend them!  You can follow them on Facebook, Twitter, Blog & You Tube.

These products were sent to me for my honest review, I can genuinely say the nail polish is fantastic and for the price amazing!  And you gotta love the cute nail stickers! My only suggestion would be is to have the name of the nail polish shade on the bottle or lid.

Tri-Polish Challenge - March Part 1 - Green, Purple, Coral

As soon as I heard about this challenge I wanted in!  This Tri-Polish challenge is being hosted by the lovely Debbie The Crumpet and the rules are pretty straight forward:
  • Each month Crumpet's Nail Tarts will set 3 colours for the challenge. You then choose 1 polish to represent each of those 3 colours. You must stick to those same 3 polishes throughout the entire challenge
  • You must stick to those polishes and cannot change which polish represents which colour.
  • Each Challenge Day, you must use at least 2 of these 3 polishes in your mani. You must also use all 3 polishes at least once.
  • You also have free use of white, black, silver, gold and glitter toppers
  • There is no theme (that was a Brucey bonus for me!)
  • There are 4 posts in the challenge, on the Tuesday and Thursday of the 3rd and 4th week of the month
March - Green, Purple Coral

I didn't use green for this mani and used Bundle Monster Plate 221.  I used Coral as the base colour and stamped with purple which looks a cerise pink on top of the coral.

These are the 3 polishes I'll be using in March, MUA Shade 13, Funky Fingers Riot, Wet n Wild Blazed

Check out the other participants in this fab challenge!

Invogue Parakeet Feathers (Possible Dupe of Nails Inc Chester Feathers)

If you like feather effect polishes I hope you are going to like this!  Nails Inc have released their feather effect polishes retailing at £11 a pop.  Invogue Feather Effect Nails Polishes from Superdrug appear very similar retailing at £3.49!!  No brainer in my opinion.  Invogue have 4 different feather shades, but when I went to Superdrug they only had one bottle of Parakeet so I grabbed it and clung onto it for dear life.  I've not tried the Nails Inc Feather polishes so can't compare coverage, but for looks they are very similar.  I think these are going to be hugely popular.

To the pics (4 coats no base colour)

So what do you think of this gorgeous polish?

Polish Days - Vintage

Hello everyone! The theme for March's Polish Day Theme hosted by Polly Polish is Vintage.

One of my all time favourite films, which reminds me of when I was a teenager, is Quadrophenia, so I decided on a 60's mod theme.

I made water decals for the targets on my thumb and ring finger, for the others I was inspired by the black and white dresses of the 60's using bundle monster plate 322.  To the pics.....

Check out the other Polish Days cool manis!

Laid Back 31DC - Tape Mani

The 31 day challenge hosted by the lovely Debbie, The Crumpet is being re-run with a laid back approach, 2 manis a week instead of daily.

Tape Mani.  Hooruh!  I started off with great gusto and wanted to do a tape mani with a star/flash effect in the corner of each nail.  Hmmmm ended up being a mess and a tad harder than I thought.  The polish got underneath the tape so I had to take it all off and start again.  So I've gone for plain & simple stripes.  The tape I used is crafting embellishment tape and doesn't have a very clean edge unlike the thin tape you get specifically for tape manis.  Anyhoo, turned out ok, not great but ok, and actually looks better in real life as I can't see as close up as the photos!  To the pics.....

The polishes I used are La Femme Lilac Creme & Odyssey.

Rebel Nails Inc - Nail Wraps

Hello!  I've received from Rebel Nails Inc some gorgeous Nail Wraps to review.  I've only tried nail wraps once before and the results weren't that great and it put me off a tad.  But never fear, Rebel Nails Inc is here!  The nails wraps are soooooo easy to apply, peel off and stick on.  The wraps on are on a clear plastic sheet so you can easily decide which size wrap is right for each nail by placing the sheet over the top of your nail, see pic below.

I cut the wraps down to size while on my nail and then filed down to size using quite a rough/sharp nail file at a 45 degree angle.  They are very good quality, feel nice to touch and the ends of the nails aren't scratchy or sharp.  Amazing results in very little time, and they survived a bath too!

Now this is the good part....Rebel Nails Inc has a flash sale until 4th March 2013 and they have LOADS of gorgeous wraps from £1....yep £1.  You'll be crazy bonkers not to take up this fab offer, I'm getting my order ready!  To the pics!

The Rebel Nails Inc sent me the nail wraps for my honest review and I can honestly say they are good quality, easy to use and fun nails wraps.  Why not give them a try with their £1 special offer on some wraps.
