Day 21 - Merge or Melt.

Quite chuffed with myself with this one, I've done a gradient (merge) with magnetic polishes.  I've seen this on other blogs so decided to give it a go and it worked.  Do a gradient as you usually would with magnetic polishes but don't use the magnet yet.  Let it dry and then use a slow drying topcoat and then use your magnet, by jove it works!

I've got trillions of untrieds, most of them are about 1-2 years old and are mainly Nails Inc as I get sets of them.  So I waded through my stash and come across this little gem.  I got it from a market for about a quid at least 6 or 7 years ago, I remember buying it on a sunny day and being mesmerised by it's sparkle.  The make is Saffron and the shade is number 21.  In normal light it's a taupe colour, get it under a halogen light or the sunshine and it's sparklicious!!!!  Dazzling, stunning, can't stop looking at my nails, and for a quid!!!  A real good find!  To the pics - 3 coats, with 2 coats on the ring finger which was over Nails Inc Lennox Gardens, this polish is great on its own or as a topper......

Day 3 - Gold

I love gold polishes and have a lot of sheer/shimmery golds and full on glitters, but didn't want the chore of removing the sturdy glitter so went for the slight glitter feel.  My mani doesn't look to bad in real life, but it was an absolute pig to photograph.  I used both my camera & phone, indoor and outdoor light, with and without flash, the glitter looks dark, but it's not it's as gold and glittery as can be....hmmm.... I struggled.  

So here are my not so glamours pics, I'm off to give them a bit of T&C, my hands look old and chapped (sad face!).

Here I'm comparing OPI Black Shatter with Barry M Croc Effect, both are black over a white base. From a distance the Shatter looks more effective, but up close the Croc is far more interesting.
