Beauties Factory UK - 3D Ceramic Flowers

Hello my lovely readers!!  Spring is definitely in the air and what better way to celebrate the new season with these beautiful 3D Ceramic Flowers.  These were sent to me by Beauties Factory UK, a wheel containing 12 different delicately coloured ceramic flowers.  How pretty are they!!!

I've got 2 manis to show you using the flowers, I could think of numerous different colour ways.  So I decided on a pretty delicate pink (reminds me of blossom or bridal nails) and then with blue, green & lilac (which reminds me of forget-me-knots and primroses)

To the pics............

The Nail Polishes used are - pink cream Nails Inc Warwick Avenue, pink shimmer Marks & Spencer Sugar Pink, blue La Femme Ice Blue Cream

The 3D Ceramic Flowers have a flat base which makes it easy to glue onto your nails. This pack of approx 60 pieces costs £3.49 and are reusable!!

Beauties Factory UK is based in Darlington, Co Durham, if you are passing by why not drop into their shop and check out their entire range of beauty products which includes make up, cosmetic accessories nail art products, false eyelashes, creams, serums and hair products. You can also order online with P&P starting at £2.99 (international shipping also available!!) and check our their Facebook page too!

This item was sent to me for my honest review, they are very good quality, pretty & delicately coloured, they will make your nails look simply beautiful.  I can't wait to do more manis using these flowers.

Laid Back 31DC - Tape Mani

The 31 day challenge hosted by the lovely Debbie, The Crumpet is being re-run with a laid back approach, 2 manis a week instead of daily.

Tape Mani.  Hooruh!  I started off with great gusto and wanted to do a tape mani with a star/flash effect in the corner of each nail.  Hmmmm ended up being a mess and a tad harder than I thought.  The polish got underneath the tape so I had to take it all off and start again.  So I've gone for plain & simple stripes.  The tape I used is crafting embellishment tape and doesn't have a very clean edge unlike the thin tape you get specifically for tape manis.  Anyhoo, turned out ok, not great but ok, and actually looks better in real life as I can't see as close up as the photos!  To the pics.....

The polishes I used are La Femme Lilac Creme & Odyssey.

Crumpet's Nail Tarts 31 Day Challenge - Day 3 - Gold

This 31 Day Challenge is hosted by the lovely Debbie, The Crumpet!

Day 3 - Gold

I love gold polishes and have a lot of sheer/shimmery golds and full on glitters, but didn't want the chore of removing the sturdy glitter so went for the slight glitter feel.  My mani doesn't look to bad in real life, but it was an absolute pig to photograph.  I used both my camera & phone, indoor and outdoor light, with and without flash, the glitter looks dark, but it's not it's as gold and glittery as can be....hmmm.... I struggled.

So here are my not so glamours pics, I'm off to give them a bit of T&C, my hands look old and chapped (sad face!).
Above & below outdoor pics with camera, on a dull day
Below by phone camera with flash, they look very different
Here's the base colour I used, La Femme Ultra Gold
Base La Femme Ultra Gold topped with Essence Make it Golden

Jelly Sandwich Day

I've been invited to join the second of Polly Polish speciality polish days, a day where nail bloggers simultaneously blog about a particular theme, in this instance a Jelly Sandwich. I've not been involved with any other bloggers group themes so am very excited to be included! This is also my first attempt at a Jelly Sandwich, where you layer a sheer polish with a glitter polish, and here is my result.....

The glitter polish used is Essence Make It Golden which has large & small gold glitter particles in a clear base, with La Femme Ultra Blue, a blue shimmer jelly.

First of all 2 coats of La Femme Ultra Blue

Then added 2 coats of Essence Make It Golden

The ring finger I left without the jelly over the top so you can see the difference between the two.

Overall, pretty impressed with my first attempt, but in all honesty I prefer it without the jelly overlay.  What do you think and do you like Jelly Sandwiches?

If you'd like to see how the other bloggers posts please see the list of participants below.
