Born Pretty Store Holographic Chameleon Flakies

I've got a couple of manis to share with you today using Holographic Chameleon Flakie Pigments  from Born Pretty Store.
There are 4 colours in the collection and I've got #1 and #4.  I used the flakie pigments over a no wipe UV Gel top coat over a regular black nail polish base.  For both manis I applied the pigments with a patting method on my thumb and ring finger to give a sparse effect, and on my other nails I used a burnished effect where I rubbed the pigment into my nails to give all over coverage.  Both methods are stunning and you have to see it to understand how breathtaking they are.
When you open the pot of flakies it's like looking into a treasure trove of crushed precious gemstones.

Avon True Colour Nailwear Pro+ Nail Enamels - Blossoming Utopia & Enchantment

I’m still waiting for the pink blossom to appear on our trees which is oh so pretty and means spring is on its way. Maybe the cold weather is delaying the big bouncy blooms from bursting into life and make everywhere look lovely.

So while I wait for the impending burst of springtime magic, I’ll wear pink blossom shades on my nails, namely Avon True Colour Blossoming Utopia and Enchantment.
Blossoming Utopia, is the lighter of the two, a pale baby pink, soft and delicate.

Enchantment is a bright medium pink, a super shade for both fingers and toes, it certainly is enchanting.

Both applied wonderfully, good pigmentation and a nice brush.  My nails are pink and perky!

I’ve been informed by Avon that all their nail enamels are 5-Free (free of Formaldehyde, toluene, DBP, formaldehyde resin, and camphor). 10ml bottle.

The collection is called 'Chameleon Pearl Lustre Mermaid Shell UV Gel Polish' and there are 6 colours to choose from.  This is Jade Sky which has a milky white base and green iridescent shimmer, it reminds me of mother of pearl especially over a white base.  It transforms a black base to a galactic milky way.
There are 6 stunning colours in the range all wonderfully unique.

Hibiscus Frill Pyjamas from Avon

What better way to endure daylight saving day than going to bed early and new jarmas!!

Last night I couldn’t wait to hop into bed with fresh clean sheets and wear my delightful Hibiscus Frill Pyjamas from Avon.
The straight legged white pants are covered in bright pink bold Hibiscus flowers and have an elasticated waist.
The bright pink V-neck short sleeve top is decorated with a frill around the neckline in the same material as the pants.
I’m 5ft 6in and I’m wearing UK size 14/16 and I would say they are true to size.

Made from 100% cotton, the Hibiscus Frill PJ’s are very comfy.  These are my first Avon PJ’s and I’m definitely buying more.  In fact, I’ve already got my second pair lined up and I’ve got my eye on a third!

I’m starting to wonder if my PJ collection is growing faster than my going out clothes.  Hey ho!

Avon Liquid Eyeliner Pens

I needed a new liquid eyeliner pen, so it was an ideal opportunity to get one from Avon as I'm an Avon Lady.

Avon has two liquid eyeliners pens, one from the True Colour range and one from the Mark range. But which to choose? In the brochure the Mark liquid eyeliner pen was described as having a slanted tip to create thick and thin lines, however, the brochure picture didn’t show the tip as being slanted, so I thought there’s only one way to find out and that’s to get both of them. So I did.

Indeed, the Mark liquid eyeliner pen does have a slanted tip, the True Colour pen has a traditional tip.

I applied the eyeliners on top of my eyeshadow. I applied mascara, added a bit more eyeshadow and applied a second coat of eyeliner for definition. They both applied and lasted equally well.

The pen sticks are identical the only difference is the nib. Also, the True Colour eyeliner has the ‘use within 3 months of opening’ symbol whereas the Mark one says ‘6 months of opening’. The ingredients are the same.
I hope this review is helpful if you are deciding which one to get.  If you use Avon's liquid eyeliners, which one do you use?

Avon Mark Gel Shine Nail Enamels - Pop Art & Over Intensified

Greetings from the sea  – today I am a Mermaid!
Today’s post is for two of the new shades from the Mark Gel Shine Range. Pop Art, an ocean blue shimmer and Over intensified, a sparkling sea green.
Pop Art – a bright royal blue with lots of shimmer which looks white or silver but when reflected from the blue shade gives a green shimmer effect.
Over Intensified – a lush emerald green packed with shimmer
Mermaid they are, Holographic the are not. They have a metallic finish and I applied two coats.

So what did I do with my mani? Well, after applying Over Intensified, I sponged my nail tips with Pop Art to give a gradient effect.
Pretty huh? But it wasn’t enough to satisfy my inner mermaid. I stamped a scale effect on top and swish swish there’s my tail, off I swim and I’m basking in a warm blue lagoon!
