Tropical Island Full Wrap Water Decals from Sparkly Nails

For today's mani I've used full wrap water decals from Sparkly Nails called 'Tropical Island'.  The full wrap water decals include an assortment of exotic flowers and palm trees. 
I applied the wraps over a white base, it's not imperative to have a base colour, but I like to have them painted in case part of the wrap doesn't completely cover your nail.  You need to have some patience with the full wrap water decals, you need to allow them to dry and attach to your nail, so take time to apply them.  Any excess decal which has attached to your skin can be removed with nail polish remover and a brush.
If you've not tried water decals before, give them a go.  Remove the protective clear film, trim, soak in a little water, remove from the backing paper, apply to your painted nails and seal with top coat - done!

Born Pretty Store Holographic Nail Polish - Violet Light BPH06

Today's mani is is a deep plum purple holographic with fiery flashes of red and copper.  I'm wearing Violet Light Holographic Nail Polish from Born Pretty Store.

There are 6 stunning colours in the range and I think I'll be purchasing more!  I applied 3 coats as the first coat was uneven.  I gave the bottle a good shake, however, there are no mixing balls in the bottle so I'll have to add them to give a smoother finish in future. After the third coat was applied, the colour was intense, a deep rich velvety plum with dazzling holographic particles.

Avon Mark Gel Shine Nail Enamels - Glowing Vignette, Illuminize and Perfect Light

Following on from my recent post showing you 2 holographic shades of the 9 new Mark nail enamel range, I’m going to share with you my swatches for the 3 lightest colours.

Glowing Vignette, Illuminize and Perfect Light

More than just shimmer nail enamels, all three have fine golden glitter particles, however, they are not holographic. I was hoping all 9 new shades would be holographic, but in fact, only 3 of them are, being Holographic Capture, Cosmic Flush and Futurist.

Anyhoo, onto the swatches. For all shades, I applied 3 coats.

First up Glowing Vignette, a pearlised cream with fine gold glitter particles

Below L-R: Natural light & artificial light
Under artificial light, you can really see the fine gold glitter particles

Illuminize – a light golden shade with fine gold glitter particles

Below under artificial light

Perfect Light – soft light pink with fine gold glitter particles

Below Perfect light with and without camera flash

I was intrigued to see how Perfect Light compared to Metallize Me, they're similar but different.

If you like soft, pale shimmery shades then these are the ones for you.

I’ve been informed by Avon that all their nail enamels are 5-Free (free of Formaldehyde, toluene, DBP, formaldehyde resin, and camphor). 10ml bottle.

Night Dreamer Nail Art Water Wraps from Sparkly Nails

For today's mani I've used full wrap water decals from Sparkly Nails called 'Night Dreamer'.  The full wrap water decals include an assortment of dream catchers and an owl.  A Dream Catcher is a small hoop containing mesh or a net, decorated with feathers and beads, believed by American Indians to give its owner good dreams.
I applied the wraps over a white base, it's not imperative to have a base colour, but I like to have them painted in case part of the wrap doesn't completely cover your nail.  You need to have some patience with the full wrap water decals, you need to allow them to dry and attach to your nail, so take time to apply them.  Any excess decal which has attached to your skin can be removed with nail polish remover and a brush.

Avon Mark Gel Shine Nail Enamels - Holographic Capture & Futurist

The Avon Brochure 7 in the UK see’s the launch of 9 new dazzling shades in the Mark Gel Shine range.

3 of the shades have holographic pigments, 2 of which I’m going to show you today. The other 6 have pearl or shimmer finishes and swatches will follow over the next couple of weeks.

Drum roll please for your royal Holoness……… Holographic Capture & Futurist.

I’ve taken photos with and without my camera flash. In the bright sunshine or bright lighting, the holo pigments come to life and are mesmerising. Check out my video below.

So what did I do with my manis? First of all a little bit of sponging to blend the two shades together (left with camera flash, right without)

Then I stamped with cupcakes

As ever the nail enamels painted wonderfully and I applied 2 coats.

Today's mani is cupcakes!  Using Afternoon Tea Stamping Plate from Born Pretty Store.

The square plate includes 18 individual images of slices of cakes, cups & saucers and a tea pot, with 3 larger images which include a cup & saucer with a bird, strawberries and cherries and cupcakes.  I used the large cupcake image on all my nails over a silver and lilac holo base

St Patrick's Day Mani using Clover Water Decals from Nail Art UK
