Glossy Box Jan 2012

Here's my first ever Glossy Box, I signed up on a special offer as I'd heard so much hype about Glossy Box.  Here's what arrived....

I think the best thing about this was the pink box, great for storing some makeup bits & bobs, not overly impressed with the contents, and the Glossy Box Sweet.....well....what can I say!

At least Bobs liked the box!

QVC Beauty Bash

I was very lucky to win 2 tickets to the QVC Beauty Bash, I had such a great afternoon sampling beauty products, meeting the presenters, a Nails Inc Manicure and a Leighton Denny fake tan on one arm!

The 4 colours excluding the ring finger are a new Neon set, the ring finger will appear in the next TSV both out on QVC Feb 2012.

And here's the mahoosive Goody Bag, such a great day!!  Feels like Christmas again!

Filty Gorgeous Magnetic Nail Polish

Just thought I'd share this with you.  Here are Filthy Gorgeous Magnetics from Debenhams, 10ml, In A Trance (green), Heavy Metal (grey), Got the Blues (navy), they cost £12 each.  They each come with a wavy magnet in the cap.  I’ve swatched with the wavy magnets and with other magnets I’ve got.

KMS Magnetic Nail Polish

Here are the magnetic nail polishes I got from Ebay which included 3 magnets all for under a £10 - see ebay item number 150711112269.  3 gorgeous colours, I'd wear them as they are without magnetising them, Navy (40), Dark Gold/Copper (26), Pink (05), 15ml. Swatched with the magnets they came with, the star magnet comes out more like a maltese cross than a star as the points don't meet in the middle, and the vertical stripes came out horizontal. Below that swatch is the wavy magnet from my other magnet polishes. The Ebay seller has quite a lot of variations, and you can also buy them individually for under £3 so pretty good value.

 

Gary Numan Concert & Nails

Tonight I'm going to see Gary Numan in Concert, Gold VIP pass Birthday present from my boss, which means watching/listening the sound check and meeting the man himself!!  Here are my Numan nails in Cutex Red She Said and Nails Inc Phoenix Street:

Pound Shop & Kleancolor Blue Holo

I recently bought 2 polishes from the pound shop, that's two for a pound not each!  You never really know what they are going to be like, but hey ho thought I'd give them a go, afterall it's only a pound.  Not bad really and with Kleancolor Blue Holo on the ring finger.

Another Gift from my Boss - Nails Inc

I'm so lucky to be appreciated at work and my lovely boss buys me the most amazing gifts.  Last week I received the following

First set (which was a freebie for buying the others), 50ml Kensington hand cream, Crystal nail file and 3 mini polishes in Lowndes Square, Lennox Gardens & Berkley Square

Next up The Glitterati Set, Hatton Garden 10ml – Silver Glitter, London Bridge 10ml – Magenta Glitter, Chelsea Embankment 10ml – Gold Glitter

And finally Little Miss Chatterbox & Little Miss Naughty, hope my boss is not implying that I'm either of these!!!



Home Made Water Decals

I decided to have a go at creating my own nail Water Decals and it was actually easier than I thought.  I bought a sheet of water decal paper off Ebay, you can buy as little as one sheet at a time, printed my photo onto it, cut out the image, gave it a coat of top coat to seal it in, waited for it to dry, put in water, removed backing and placed on nail with top coat on top, now I've got my pussy on my nails!!  Love my Bobs x

A Gift from My Boss - Nails Inc Little Miss

I was very lucky to be given 2 Nails Inc Little Miss Polishes, Little Miss Naughty & Little Miss Splendid from my Boss.

Little Miss Naughty is a lovely mauve and Little Miss Splendid is a gorgeous green with blue shimmer.  I hope my Boss was thinking of me when he bought Little Miss Splendid!

I won a Zoya Prize Giveaway from Samarium's Swatches!!!

How very lucky am I?  I've just received the most amazing prize from Sarah of Samarium's Swatches who recently held a giveaway for achieving 300 followers, click here to see Sarah's blog which has loads of lovely and clever manicure designs and well as oodles of other goodies.  Ok, onto the prize.........

July Haul

My July Haul

First up China Glaze White Cap, lovely sheer white with a gorgeous yellow/green tint running through it, looks amazing and can't wait to try it on top of other colours, on sale at Sally's £2.54

Next up China Glaze Peace on Earth which was a swap, photo doesn't do it justice reminds me a bit of Chanel Peridot, so this cost me nothing (hooruh!)

Bargain of the month these 2 babies were from the 99p shop, look how fab the colours are, 5 ml each

Next up Maybelline Flash Cosmic, it's like a clear with blue flakies through it, again want to try this over darker colours, £1.78 from T J Hughes

And finally this was buy 1 get one free from Claire's so £4.50 for 12 minis, the colours are lovely & shimery and will probably swap one of the sets

So my haul of 17 polishes cost me under a tenner - wooooohooooooo, love a bargain!!
