Tri-Polish Challenge - March Part 2 - Green, Purple, Coral

This Tri-Polish challenge is being hosted by the lovely Debbie The Crumpet and the rules & polishes are in my previous post here.

March - Green, Purple Coral

It's quite weird how sometimes you know exactly you are going to do, what I like about this challenge is that there is no set theme apart from the colours.  So I've gone for a gradient tape mani, the coral as the base as it's the brightest colour, with the green & purple gradient on top.  To the pics......

Tri-Polish Challenge - March Part 1 - Green, Purple, Coral

As soon as I heard about this challenge I wanted in!  This Tri-Polish challenge is being hosted by the lovely Debbie The Crumpet and the rules are pretty straight forward:
  • Each month Crumpet's Nail Tarts will set 3 colours for the challenge. You then choose 1 polish to represent each of those 3 colours. You must stick to those same 3 polishes throughout the entire challenge
  • You must stick to those polishes and cannot change which polish represents which colour.
  • Each Challenge Day, you must use at least 2 of these 3 polishes in your mani. You must also use all 3 polishes at least once.
  • You also have free use of white, black, silver, gold and glitter toppers
  • There is no theme (that was a Brucey bonus for me!)
  • There are 4 posts in the challenge, on the Tuesday and Thursday of the 3rd and 4th week of the month
March - Green, Purple Coral

I didn't use green for this mani and used Bundle Monster Plate 221.  I used Coral as the base colour and stamped with purple which looks a cerise pink on top of the coral.

These are the 3 polishes I'll be using in March, MUA Shade 13, Funky Fingers Riot, Wet n Wild Blazed

Laid Back 31DC - Pink

The 31 day challenge hosted by the lovely Debbie The Crumpet is being re-run with a laid back approach, 2 manis a week instead of daily.

Day 4 - Pink

Spring is a coming and I'm in the mood for pastels.  Here is Wet N Wild Tickled Pink, a lovely icy pink.  Blinged up with some fab nail stickers from Born Pretty, see my post on these lovely flower gems and how you can get hold of them.

Wet n Wild Sparked Glitter Polish

So I thought I'd have another go with glitter polish using a glue base.  I have a bottle of the white glue from a Rio Nail Art kit and used two coats after the base coat and before applying the glitter polish.  My mani lasted well albeit a bit of tip wear and had to touch it up, and because of using the glue I kept feeling my nails to see if the glitter polish would fall/peel off, it was so tempting just to pick it off.  It lasted 4 or so days and I eventually removed it as I got bored with it and yes it came off really easy, well easier than if I hadn't used the glue base.

So onto the polish & pics, I have for you today Wet n Wild Sparked, which I got from Las Vegas on holiday 2 years ago, for a couple of dollars, I wish we had such super cool polishes in the UK that were as good value.  And I'll deffo wear more glitter polish now I've sussed out the glue base.
