NOTD - Nails Inc Porchester Square & Sugarhouse Lane

Yep, I know, I've got stubby nails - boo!  All but the pointy one broke at the same time, I hate it when my nails are really short but at least they'll all grow to the same length at the same time.  So what was tempting me?  Porchester Square, first time I've worn this and I can see why everyone raves about it, it really is a lovely colour.  With one coat of Sugarhouse Lane on the ring finger - marvellous, don't feel so bad about my stubs now!

I Won A Giveaway from The Hungry Asian

At the beginning of May The Hungry Asian celebrated her 3 year bloggiversary with a Giveaway of 3 fantastic prizes.  Kae (The Hungry Asian) creates her own fantastic frankens which are available at Etsy, go check out her amazing polishes.  I won third prize which was a Beauty Diary whitening face mask, Zoya Ivanka and a bottle of my choice of one of Kae's polishes.  OMG which was I going to choose?  I whittled my choice down to 2, Sneeze Breeze & Twenty Ten, but really couldn't make a decision as they're both gorgeous, so I asked Kae to decide for me.  And what did she do naughty girl???  Kae sent me both, how extremely lucky am I? A very BIG thank you to Kae.  Here's Sneeze Breeze over one coat of Collection 2000 Show Off.  I love this franken and can't wait to try Twenty Ten too, here's my pics.....and please check out The Hungry Asian on Etsy and her Blog

Jelly Sandwich Day

I've been invited to join the second of Polly Polish speciality polish days, a day where nail bloggers simultaneously blog about a particular theme, in this instance a Jelly Sandwich. I've not been involved with any other bloggers group themes so am very excited to be included! This is also my first attempt at a Jelly Sandwich, where you layer a sheer polish with a glitter polish, and here is my result.....

The glitter polish used is Essence Make It Golden which has large & small gold glitter particles in a clear base, with La Femme Ultra Blue, a blue shimmer jelly.

First of all 2 coats of La Femme Ultra Blue

Then added 2 coats of Essence Make It Golden

The ring finger I left without the jelly over the top so you can see the difference between the two.

Overall, pretty impressed with my first attempt, but in all honesty I prefer it without the jelly overlay.  What do you think and do you like Jelly Sandwiches?
