Avon Mosaic Effects top coat is a shatter/crackle effect and is used as a topper with a contrast base colour. Over a dark base (Avon Nailwear Pro+ Midnight) I applied one coat of the Mosaic Gold Glimmer and within seconds you see the effect take place. You must make sure the base colour is completely dry or else the top coat won't do it's magic and make the mosaic pattern. A thin coat will create lots of small striations while a thick coat will give less but deeper striations (see my thumb nail). The mosaic top coat dries quickly and mattes down, however apply a clear top coat the the gold shimmer is gorgeous. Not only do you achieve a unique patterned mani it's great fun to apply and observe.
