Frosted Snowflake Nail Foil from Sparkly Nails

Frosty mornings means frosty nails, so here's today's mani using Frosted Snowflake nail foil from Sparkly Nails over a black and dark blue gradient base.  The nail foil has a clear background so you can see exactly where to place the holographic snowflakes on your nails.  The Frosted Snowflakes add a cool look to your nails especially when the light bounces off them revealing a splash of rainbow holographicness.  The foil looks super over dark or brighter shades.  So if you don't get on with stamping, foils are a brilliant alternative to create intricate nail art and they are so easy to apply.
Apply the special nail adhesive over your mani (also available at Sparkly Nails) and wait for the glue to become transparent.  Then place the foil on top of your nail and gently rub with your finger, hoof stick or cotton bud and in seconds the design is transferred to your nail.  Apply top coat to seal and you're done!

AVON 8-in1 Eyeshadow Palette Nude Shimmer & AVON Ultra Glazewear Lip Gloss Plum Dazzle

I'm making a change from nails to cosmetics today because I've a really lovely eyeshadow palette and lip gloss from Avon to share with you.  The Avon 8-in-1 eyeshadow palette is named 'nude shimmer' and contains 6 shimmer and 2 matte shades, a double ended sponge applicator and a narrow mirror in the lid.  These shades are right up my street and perfect for me as there's all you need to highlight, blend and define.  The palette is available in 2 other colour ways, nudes & blues and smokey, and they are coming up in Brochure 1, 2017 in the UK. 

Top row left to right - cream shimmer, cream matte, pale peach shimmer, gold shimmer

Bottom row left to right - taupe shimmer, brown shimmer, tan shimmer, dark brown matte

Now onto my Avon bargain.  I bought the Avon Ultra Glazewear lip gloss from Brochure 13's sale leaflet and it cost £1.99 and it's fantastic, I love it.  It glides on effortlessly and isn't sticky.  The shade is called Plum Dazzle, a soft mid pink crammed with sparkle.  6ml.

I used 3 shades and blended as follows.  To highlight my brow I used the peach shimmer, I used the tan shimmer in the socket area and the matte brown on my lid.  The shades and well pigmented and the soft shimmer has a lovely sparkle in the sunlight.

Here is 'Liquorice' a black jelly base packed with silver glitter.  Liquorice dries matte and once regular top coat is applied, sparkles like mad in the sunshine!  I applied 3 coats over a bare nail (pic below left) which gave a charcoal shade and 1 coat over black polish (pic below right) which reminds me of black granite.

 Next up is 'Strawberry' a vibrant bright orangey red packed with delicate glitter which gives the polish the wow wee factor.  I applied 3 coats. 

 
 And finally 'Lemon' a jelly polish packed with fine glitter.  Because it's a jelly I've tried it over different coloured bases and it's AMAZING, especially over darker colours.

Below left - from thumb to pinky - over a bare nail, white, yellow, red & black.
Below right - over dark blue, turquoise, taupe & pink.  The dark blue looks like stars twinkling in the night sky, the turquoise is changed to green and looks like a shimmering mermaids tail, the taupe has a bronze glow and the pink is turned to a sparkly coral.

I've teamed ice blue glitter nails with decorative lace effect water decals from Born Pretty Store.  The pack of Lace Nail Art Water Decals contains 4 rows of black detailed lace design, 2 rows have a larger design, 2 rows have a shorter design.  I used the different sizes on alternate nails.

Avon Magic Effects Nail Polish - Cosmic Range - Eclipse

Oh my word what an absolute diamond I've got to show you today.  Avon Magic Effects Nail Polish named 'Eclipse' with a black base with a touch of holo loveliness - OMG wow wee!   And if that's not enough it only cost me £2 from the Avon Sale Brochure back in July.  The reason I'm sharing this is because it makes an appearance in Brochure 18's sale leaflet, again for only £2.  This is a gem of a polish.  In sunlight and certain lighting the rainbow holographic particles are mesmerising.   Full coverage with 2 coats, 10ml bottle.
I'm not an Avon Rep and have no affiliation with them what so ever, I just want to share this cracking nail polish with you and while it's available in the UK at a bargain price.

Stargazer Gel Effect Nail Polish - Play

My nails today are a lovely soft red named 'Play' from Stargazer's Gel Effect Nail Polish range.   The 10ml flat round bottle contains a good formulation nail polish and excellent flat brush which makes painting a dream.  Full coverage with 2 coats.  My photos are without top coat to show you how glossy it is, however I applied top coat after the photos were taken to extend the wear.
Fab shade for Christmas and will definitely be making an appearance on my toes.
