Yesterday I painted my nails with Nails Inc Sao Paulo Streets, a lovely pinky latte, and even better is was free with InStyle Mag!  Anyhoo, my plain mani (although very nice) needed something extra, ah I know Blue Bloom water decals from Sparkly Nails.  The delicate blue & white flowers really pop on top of the neutral base shade.  I absolutely love water decals as they give excellent results with little mess.  There are 20 decals in the pack.  If you've not tried water decals before, give them a go, simply soak in a little water, remove from the backing paper, apply to your painted nails and seal with top coat - done!

Flower & Rhinestone Knuckle Ring from Lady Queen

Here's another of my knuckle rings which is very pretty and really enhances a plain mani.  A gold tone ring which you can bend to adjust the size.  At one end of the band is a clear rhinestone and at the other a gorgeous white painted flower.  The ring is also available with different coloured flowers or a rhinestone bow or Hello Kitty.  It's comfortable to wear, flattering and delicate.  This flower & rhinestone ring is from Lady Queen.  It's a great look to decorate the whole of your finger with the ring and not just the base.

Bow Pattern Nail Foil from Charlies Nail Art

A cute pastel mani today with a Bow Pattern nail foil from Charlies Nail Art.  The nail foil includes white flowers edged in pink with lilac, turquoise & pink bows on a clear back ground so you can see your nail polish colour underneath.  Because of the foil's clear background it will look great over lots of different colours, next time I'm going to try over a dark colour to see if the flowers & bows pop - I'll let you know how I get on.
I applied the foil over a pastel pink base on three of my fingers, with contrasting turquoise thumb and ring finger adorned with colour co-ordinated studs also from Charlies Nail Art.

If you've not tried nail foils before they are a easy to use.  Apply a special nail foil adhesive over your mani and wait for the glue to become transparent.  Then place the foil on top of your nail and gently rub with your finger, hoof stick or cotton bud and in seconds the design is transferred to your nail.  Apply top coat to seal and you're done!

Avon Metallic Effects Nail Polish - Frosted Peach, Jade Reflection, Platinum Petal, Gold Leaf

I'm very pleased to show you 4 super Avon Metallic nail polishes, recently purchased from the Avon sale leaflet for 99p each!  Very shimmery and I'm sure they'll be fab for stamping as I've already got & tried Avon Arctic Steel from the metallic range and it's a brill stamper.  They paint very well, nice brushes, quite thick polishes, you could get away with one coat if pushed for time. So if you see them in the Avon Sale Brochure I highly recommend them.  I'm not an Avon Rep and have no affiliation with them what so ever, I just want to share these lovely metallictastic polishes with you.

Spike Vinyl Nail Stencils from Sparkly Nails

I have a couple of mani's to share using Spike Vinyl Nail Stencils from Sparkly Nails.
On the left is a baby blue and silver combo using one stencil per nail.  On the right a polka dot polish base topped with purple, I used two stencils together to create a bigger spike, see below for a demo.

Here I've used two stencils to create a wider spike.
Simply place on your nail, paint with your contrasting colour and remove immediately.

Born Pretty Store Liquid Peel Off Tape

Born Pretty Store now have a range of Peel Off Liquid Tapes which aid the clean up process if you're stamping, sponging or water marbling.  Not only does it save you time and nail polish remover, the Born Pretty Store range is so much cheaper than the branded products.  The liquid peel off tape I'm using is white and comes in a 15ml bottle with a brush.  Very easy to apply and remove, I'm really looking forward to creating manis with dark stamping or dark sponging and I won't need to worry about staining my cuticles - hooray!! Left - paint the liquid tape around your nail and allow it to dry for a few minutes
Right - apply your stamping, sponging or water marbling

The excess polish goes on top of the dried liquid tape rather than your skin.

Below - Using tweezers gently peel away the tape at the top of your finger, it will pull away from your skin effortlessly leaving minimal clean up
