Dry Water Marbling using Nella Milano Nail Lacquers

Since discovering dry water marbling I'm loving the whole water marble thing.  And because I've found that Nella Milano nail lacquers marble perfectly and I have a lot of them so double yee-haw!  You can see my previous post here on dry water marbling.  I simply love the whole experience from choosing the colours, to watching the bullseye spreading and building up in the water, drawing the pattern and applying to my nails, I'm obsessed.  So here's a couple recently done, one using the flower pattern and the other with zigzag strokes.  To the pics.....

I'm still practising and enjoying every bit of it.

Nails Inc Maddox Street

Don't be scared of black polishes, they are beautiful and elegant, as is my Nails Inc Maddox Street. The shimmer lifts the shade and makes is look charcoal, I think it's an incredibly chic finish.  Applied very well, this is 3 coats with top coat.  The shade has been around for quite a while but not seen often enough.  Don't get me wrong I love my pastels and my brights, but sometimes you just need a bit of smoulder! Nails Inc Callcott Street

Nails Inc Callcott Street is my bargain from Ebay, it was about £2.50!  Get in!  Don't you just love it when that happens, not often but delightful when it does.  It's a lilac polish with an iridescent pink shimmer, very pretty.  Three coats with top coat.  To the pics!

Born Pretty Store Nail Art Stickers

Today's mani is bright and beautiful using 3D Nail Art Stickers from Born Pretty Store.  The nails stickers are excellent value as there are 12 decals per design and 9 rows of patterns, that's 108 decals!  The nails stickers come in 4 colours, Rose Red, Red, Blue & Black. I have the Rose Red which are a fuchsia pink and I've applied them over an orange base.  The floral/filigree nails stickers are shiny/foil and the light bounces off them.  They come on a clear backing sheet which is really handy because you can hold the decal over your nail to find the right size.  Simply peel the decal from the backing sheet, trim if necessary, rub gently several times on your nail and file away the excess.  Seal with top coat and you're done.  You can create at least 12 manis with these nail stickers so why not share the love and gift some to your friends!  Check out my video below for a demonstration.

Today's mani is using stamping products from Born Pretty Store.  The gold stamping polish has been sent to me for review, the stamper & scraper was a free gift and the stamping plate QA61 I already owned.  First up the stamping polish is a lovely bright gold shimmer, very opaque, excellent quality and will definitely be my favourite gold stamping polish as it's so bright and not dull or flat and is a huge 15ml.  The stamper & scraper was a free gift from Born Pretty Store, a rectangular stamper which I've never tried before and a metal bladed scraper, both worked wonderfully.  Teamed up with stamping plate QA61 which I already owned, another firm favourite of mine, super designs that stamp brilliantly.  I applied over a burgundy polish and the gold stamping polish really stands out.  I'm highly delighted with all my stamping products from Born Pretty Store and highly recommend them.   Check out my video below.

Cuticle Tattoos #08 from Charlies Nail Art

This is a new one for me, cuticle tattoos!  I've tried body tattoos and they are basically the same thing, and to have them for just your cuticles is a brilliant idea and really brings your mani to attention!  I'm really impressed with them and excited to show you.  The Cuticle Tattoos #008 are from Charlies Nail Art and I've teamed them up with Stamping Plate QA20  (also from Charlies Nail Art - see my blog post here) over a lilac mani, Nails Inc Callcott Street.
The cuticle tattoos are applied as follows:
Clean cuticle with water
Choose the best size tattoo for your cuticle (there are 20 assorted sizes in the pack)
Peel off the protective film from the chosen tattoo
Place tattoo face down onto the area you want to apply it
Use cotton wool with water to wet the back of the tattoo for approx 30 seconds
Remove the paper from your cuticle area and the tattoo should be adhered to your skin
To remove: Use baby oil or similar
I'm literally blogging about this straight after this mani so going on how long body tattoos last for they should last a couple of days if you are careful, but fantastic for a night out or event.

Sparkly Nails ZigZag Vinyl Nail Stencils

I'm recycling yesterday's pale pink mani (Nails Inc Swift Street) using ZigZag vinyls,  a white polish and rose gold shimmer polish (Nails Inc Great Titchfield Street).  I've used one vinyl on each nail and 2 on the thumb to give a wider ZigZag.  What you are seeing is my 2nd attempt as the first was ruined with dodgy polish which didn't give clear sharp lines.  So if you've tried vinyls and they don't give sharp lines/images it could be your polish not the vinyl itself - just saying.  The ZigZag Vinyl nail stencils are from Sparkly Nails and they have a neat selection of vinyl packs in squiggle, spike, stripe, chevron and more so go check them out.  There are 60 ZigZag vinyls per pack and at only £1.25 are a bargain.  Check out my little step by step tutorial below.
