Gold Nail Art Chains from Charlies Nail Art

Using chains on my nails is a first for me.  I've seen lots of creative manis using them so I hope you like my designs using Gold Nail Art Chains from Charlies Nail Art.
1st Mani - Hearts in Chains:  Using Bundle Monster stamping plate BM-317 which has a string of hearts pattern with a gap between each row, perfect for gold chain to be placed.
2nd Mani - Gold at the end of the Rainbow:  Created with dry water marble decals in rainbow colours.  
Attach with nail glue, and if you're really careful you can remove them and use them for another time.

Born Pretty Store Gold & Silver Body Tattoo

I've been intrigued by Body Tattoos on the Born Pretty Store website.  I don't have any permanent tattoos and the thought of a temporary one in metallic gold & silver is a cool idea.  I purchased a sheet which contains 7 strips of gold & silver metallic patterns.  So one afternoon when I was looking after my niece we had a play with them.  They come on one sheet and have a protected film over them, so make sure you remove this before you apply to your skin, and yes I made the mistake of doing this - doh!  Here's the instructions for application:

1. Clean and dry the skin completely
2. Cut out the design of your choice and remove the protected film
3. Place the tattoo pattern side down on to your skin
4. Rub and wet the paper side of the tattoo completely with damp cloth or sponge
5. Peel the corner of the Tattoo gently to check if it has transferred. If not, press down and wet again.
6. Your Tattoo can last for a few days if transferred carefully.
7. How to remove the Tattoo - wash with soap and water or baby oil will remove the Tattoo instantly.

Great for a night out or dressing up.  I love the fact that they are not permanent, there are tons of other designs so you can wear them to suit your mood.  Lots of fun, pretty and cheap to buy.

 Place the tattoo pattern side down onto the skin

 Soak with water using a wet sponge or cloth

 When the paper is soaked through, remove and the tattoo will be on your skin for a day or two

 A Royal Affair by Nella Milano is a gorgeous purple fit for a Queen (or Princess!) and is from the Tyrian collection (Tyrian purple is a dye from sea snails - you learn something new every day!).     The formulation of Nella Milano lacquers are superb, I can't praise them enough, 2 coats with top coat although I've worn Nella Milano nail lacquers without top coat and they are still very glossy.  Plump and glossy without being thick.  Excellent size 12ml bottle, great brush and slim cap.

Today's mani is a bit of everything, water marbling, water decals and dots to create my magical mystical unicorn design.  First of all I applied my pre-made dried water marble of pink, peach & white.  Then I topped with Unicorn water decals from YRNails, then added pastel coloured dots using dotting tools also from YRNails.  YRNails have a huge range of water decals which they manufacture in the UK.  They also supply their own brand of nail polish which are 5 free and come in 10ml bottles with very good brushes.

Today is all about neutral nails which I think gives a well groomed look.  Plain, simple & chic.  It's also a great base for toppers, stamping, decals etc (it's all about the base - hee hee!)  Here's another of my Sweet Color nail polishes from Born Pretty Store, the shade number is S340.  I've applied 3 coats of the latte coloured polish to build up the colour, 1 coat would be an excellent base for a French mani.  Lovely polish which applied easily, has a good brush, nice slim cap and decent size 12ml bottle.

Fluorescent bow nails are the mani for today using these cute stencils from smART Nails.  The bright yellow fluorescent polish is an added touch to this nail design, lighting up the bows in UV light.   They come in a pack of 10 and there are a growing number of different designs to choose from with new designs being introduced regularly.  Simply peel off the stencil from the backing paper.  The stencil is transparent so you can see exactly where to place it on the nail.  Press onto your dry nail and make sure there are no air bubbles.  Apply your contrasting polish and immediate remove the stencil.  Wait for the contrasting colour to dry and apply top coat.

Bohem Nail Jewellery - Dragon Filigree Silver Nail Tip

I've previously blogged about my Bohem gold nail tip, today it's the turn of the silver tip.  Bohem nail tips are made of 100% real silver (925 sterling silver to be more exact), are hallmarked and they have cool designs on their website.  This silver filigree tip is called Dragon. The tips are so easy to apply with special sticky tabs and you get 12 tabs with each reusable tip. The adhesive should last up to 3 days, I removed mine after one day so can't confirm the longevity.  You also get a silver polishing cleaning cloth to keep your tip in glorious pristine condition.
