NICOLE DIARY - Satin Chrome / Foil Effect Nail Polishes

Hello!  Today's post is about a set of 5 satin chrome, metallic, foil nail polishes from Nicole Diary which I bought from Amazon.  The polishes don't have shades names, the colours are red, light blue, emerald green, light green and gunmetal grey.

The first thing I want to say about this collection is that the brush is wide which I really like. If you have small fingernails you'll probably be able to cover your nail in one swipe.

I applied the polishes over false nails which have a smooth unblemished surface. The polishes dried down to a smooth satin chrome effect which is stunning.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
I also applied them to my natural nails after I'd buffed them to give a smooth surface. I found the nail polishes looked better without using any base coat. The polishes weren't as satin smooth as over the false nails but they were just as lovely.

 
I also applied a glossy top coat to my nails and the effect changed from a satin chrome to a shiny foil effect and also changed the colour of some of the polishes, the effect is still amazing, the top coat makes them look brighter.

 Whichever you prefer you have the option of satin chrome or shiny foil, and I reckon they'll be very good for stamping too!

NICOLE DIARY - Set of 8 pots of Nail Art Glitter Sequins & Iridescent Flakes

I recently purchased a set of 8 glitters from Nicole Diary on Amazon for nail art.  The set contains 4 pots of sequin glitter in red & blue, fuchsia pink and silver, gold and red, blue & gold, and 4 pots of hexagonal shaped iridescent flakes in lilac, pink, green and purple.  

I tried them using UV Gel nail polishes and regular nail polishes and the worked fine with both.

I've used the glitters for nail art, and the box states they can be used for makeup and beauty and artwork.

Here are a couple of stunningly gorgeous nail polishes from Nicole Diary.  They are from the Wonderworld collection, a set of 6 duo-chrome nail polishes with shimmer and flakie finish.
I've gone for Burning Sun (shimmer) and Firework (flakie), with a duo chrome shift from pinky-purple to olive green and gold.  I applied one layer over regular black nail polish and sealed with top coat.
The flakies are mesmerising and the shimmer is gorgeous - check out my video below

Nicole Diary Stamping Polishes and Stamping Plate ND106

A square stamping plate from Nicole Diary ND106 is filled with various flower designs, leaves, a bird who has caught a worm and a lace pattern.  I've used the middle of the daisy pattern using the yellow stamping polish over a pink gradient base, and the bird that's caught the worm using the white stamping polish over a red gradient.

Chameleon Duo Chrome Nail Pigment from Nicole Diary

I have another pot of pigment powder from Nicole Diary to share with you.  This pigment is a duo chrome mirror effect, the shade is number 583 and is a blue/mauve colour shift.  Available at Amazon & Aliexpress.
First I applied a peel off base coat for easy removal of the gel polish.  I then painted and cured a clear gel base coat, painted regular black nail polish, applied and cured a no wipe gel top coat and then the fun began.  The 1g pot of duo chrome mirror pigment comes with a sponge applicator, I used a very small amount using the sponge applicator and rubbed onto my nails.  The effect took seconds to appear, truly amazing and mesmerising.  I applied another layer of gel top coat to seal in the duo chrome pigment.  My camera flash has obliterated the duo chrome colour shift effect but if you take a look at my last photo taken without a camera flash you can see the shift.
The pigment can be used over any colour, I used a black base, check out my video demonstration further down.
